Summer fun

So far it has been a fun summer! Sorry I have been a little behind in my blog posts, but let me attempt to catch us up.

We had a great visit from Granddad and Nana a few weeks ago. The girls were thrilled to see them and to get to spend so much time with them. We took them to the science center, and up and down the greenway, and had a cookout on the Fourth of July with hamburgers, corn on the cobb, and watermelon! The highlight of the week was getting to take Nana to a restaurant where she had fried green tomatoes for the first time! They were delicious! The girls also enjoyed a shopping trip to the Dollar Store where the each got to pick out THREE treats! They both remind me of that every day when they pass the Dollar Store! Big hit!

About a week later, we got to meet Grandma Suzy and Pappa at the art museum for a movie on the lawn! How To Train Your Dragon 2! Another great night, and both girls made it to the end! Whew!

We have also been going to dance class and swim lessons weekly this summer for Audrey. Emery is itching to do activities too, so she will join Audrey's class for swim this fall - that should be interesting!

This week wrapped up with a week of Princess ballet camp for Audrey. The last day was the performance, and I will post pictures and video to a separate post. Audrey loved it so we are signed up for dance this school year. I hope I am ready for that....

We still have more to look forward to though. Next week the Smith boys join us for bible camp, then we are off to Nebraska and Colorado to visit my extended family. Never a dull moment here!
