Today at Chick-Fil-A, she was the big girl on the play gym, she helped her sister and a couple other little girls climb up to the slide level the whole time we were there.
She and I now have inside jokes. For example, this past summer Nana and Granddad bought the girls each a fairy doll at the Dollar Store, which we pass every day on the way to school. EVERY day Emery says, "that's where we got my fairy!" EVERY time we pass it. Audrey and I now laugh together as we try to "sneak by" each morning and if we succeed, we both give each other a thumbs up!
And tonight, we were watching some Disney movie, as we do every time Don is traveling - it is our girls night treat. Anyway, the movie was almost over and it was a dramatic part where someone was chasing a kitten on a roof top. Audrey squirmed and started to hide her eyes, then stopped and said, "I'm OK mom. It is just a movie, the kitty is going to be fine."
That last one gets me. It is like she just left some innocent little part of childhood behind with that realization. She is getting so big, and each day she is so sweet and kind and makes me so proud, she is turning into a sweet young lady on me!
