Last week my mom had a week off, one of the perks of being a CRNA. She spent the first part of the weekend finishing up some sewing projects for the nursery at Annie's in Charlotte and made it to Atlanta on Monday.Unfortunately, the first few days were all on her own. We had to work and pretty much dazzled her in the evening with our normal routine. Exercise, cook, eat & watch an episode or two of our favorite shows before nodding off. Well, we did get a Netflix movie in, but it took 2 nights because we all fell asleep.

But I like to think we made up with it on Thursday night. We both took a half day and took Mom to lunch at the little Italian Deli near our house. For those of you that plan on visiting - I think my Mom would back us up when I say that this is a dining experience that's not to be missed. She liked the food and even better, found some real tomato paste in a tube, just like Giada uses! What a hit.
Next we all dressed up and went down town for some Thai before heading to the Symphony. DG's company was nice enough to sponsor an evening out for employees and their family. We got a back stage tour of the ASO, free drinks, and a great concert. Friday was spent (of course) shopping. So it was a nice end of the week before Mom had to head home on Saturday. Of course, we had our big night out and completely forgot to take a pic, so hopefully this one we got Saturday morning will do. All in all it was a nice week, hopefully Mom will agree!
