March Madness...

This will be a short post today. I spent yesterday evening at a co-worker's bachelorette party, so I'm running on about 3 hours of sleep...

Over the last few weeks we've been watching our fair share of basketball. We both entered pools at work for the college tourney, which made me a more interested viewer for at least the first few rounds. DG was able to enjoy a few games this month with some b-school buddies while I entertained myself by hosting my new book club. We read Eat Pray Love; moderately entertaining book, great inspiration for themed dishes from Italy, India, and Indonesia! It was a fun time for us girls and gave the guys an excuse to go watch some hoops at the near-by sports bar. Last night DG went to a friend's house to watch the Heels in the Final Four. Disappointing loss, but he seems to be taking it OK...

Not only have we been enjoying college basketball, but we also got the opportunity to go see the Atlanta Hawks play the Chicago Bulls this month. Our good friends the Millers invited us and we even got to sit in their firm's box seats! The game was pretty exciting and came down to the last shot. The Hawks ended up winning so it was a great time. Different atmosphere from college basketball, but it was a good night out so we might have to do that again.

Well spring has definitely sprung in Atlanta. I'm happy to report that we had a solid week of drizzling rain this past week which has been some relief from the ongoing drought. Unfortunately all that rain has also ushered in the pollen. We'll have to tough that out though as we're also starting our Softball league this week. DG's company sponsors a team and this will be our second year playing. Last week at our preseason opener he hit a homer out of the park. Hopefully he can repeat that when I'm more prepared to get a photo for the blog! More updates to come...
