It was a perfect day yesterday and we just couldn't stay inside. Sunny, breezy, high of 84 degrees. I thought we'd died and gone to Colorado for the summer.
So we decided to check out a nearby natural waterfall. Georgia has 4 major canyons and while watching public TV the other day, we saw a story about them. They are scattered across the state and Amicalola Falls is one that's not too far away from Atlanta. We decided to take off early in the morning and go for a hike to take advantage of the beautiful weather.
We've learned that the state parks have a Canyon Climbers Club you can join if you'd like to climb all 4 canyons. We joined and got our first canyon stamp. We're looking forward to hiking the rest of them and getting to see a little more of the state while we're at it.
