Our new arrival came three days early, born June 4th at 2:15 pm. We could not be happier, or more surprised. With the Gardner track record for boys, we thought it was practically a sure thing that we were having a boy. We were both absolutely thrilled at our surprise though - we are so happy to welcome this beautiful little girl into our lives and are so thankful for her.
The delivery was (as I'm sure they always are) a little more eventful than we'd planned. We ended up having a C-Section, so Jen is having a slower recovery than we thought she'd be having. Still, she's taking it easy and we finally made it home yesterday. We have loaded some of the "hospital" photos to Snapfish and will send them to the family members - so please be on the look out for those. If any friends are interested in those, let us know and we'll share them with you as well.
As far as future pictures of our little girl - stay tuned. I logged on today and signed up for mobile updates, so now I can post text and images from my phone. Given that I don't expect to often be in front of the computer - this will hopefully allow me to share those every day shots with everyone easily from my phone.
Thanks for all the well wishes from all of our family and friends during this pregnancy. We are so thankful for your support and excited to begin our new journey into family life.
