This past weekend we went to Charlotte to visit my family. It was a relaxed time, nothing really planed - and that is just what we wanted. The highlights included a family hike at the lake, and a trip to the neighborhood pool. Noah is getting so big and he's starting to talk... My favorite thing was singing If you're happy and you know it... to which he would clap his hands. I loved it! It was also one of the only ways to stop the crying in the car when he was ready to be out of his car seat!
We had a great time at the lake, and I tried to teach Noah a new song, Left! Left! Left, right, Left! You can see below, he took right to it. Here are a few pictures.
Who do you think was in charge this weekend?

After our walk, we decided to go to the pool for the afternoon to cool off. This is no regular pool - the kid area has some elaborate sprinklers and showers as you can kind of see in the picture. Not to mention the slide, which we all enjoyed!

Pretty soon, you can start teaching him some of those Y camp songs! It looks like you had fun!
We had so much fun! Noah wanted me to thank you for teaching him his first two syllable word, "Hurray"! Thanks for coming to hang with us.
